Research map was discussed with Finnish scientists

Researchers from South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (Xamk), Finland’s largest university of applied sciences has now visited the Center of Excellence Logistics and IT. AndrĂ© Terharen, Marc Kirberg, Felix Feldmann and Selma GĂĽnther welcomed senior lecturers Juhani Heikkinen, R&D managers Jonne Holmen and Petri Kähärä as well as master student Kari Issakainen.

On the agenda was the exchange for the creation of a research map documenting the current state of research in the scientific disciplines of logistics and IT. The research map is intended to help find answers to the question of future research fields from which logistics science and logistics companies will benefit equally. The scientists also brought themselves up to date with the latest research in blockchain technology, mobility as a service and artificial intelligence at their locations and presented their current projects in these fields. Against this background, the first opportunities for cooperation in future projects were also explored.

Further information on the visit can be found on the research map at André Terharen, e-mail andre.terharen@tu-dortmund.de, and on internationalisation at Marc Kirberg, e-mail kirberg@itl.tu-dortmund.de, or Felix Feldmann, felix2.feldmann@tu-dortmund.de.
