New headliner workshops, lab tours, live music and food trucks: the 3. The third edition of the TRANSFER.FESTIVAL attracted over 100 visitors to the Fraunhofer IML in Dortmund. This year, the event took place for the first time in co-operation with the IFOY Award, which was presented in the evening at the Dortmunder U.
Diverse line-up according to the motto “No lectures – just workshops”
At the TRANSFER.FESTIVAL, we completely dispense with lectures – instead, it’s all about experiencing and doing. This year, our unique programme of 14 workshops covered a wide range of topics. The Center of Excellence for Logistics and IT was represented with a total of 4 workshops this year. Two transfer projects were also represented for the first time this year: The AI-BOSS project team brought along exciting content on the topic of “Besser Beschaffen – Smarte Sortimentsoptimierung”. In the workshop An assembly and supply process was simulated using the RIOTANA® software tool “My agent takes care of that – decentralised production control”. In addition, the Picking Lab and the Pace Lab offered insights into the Fraunhofer IML test centres in two sessions.
Here we go
The morning started at 10 a.m. sharp with a pitch: All workshop leaders had a few seconds to present their sessions – after which the participants were able to choose two workshops. In the two rounds, the participants then had enough time to discuss, design, plan, puzzle and develop digital and innovative ideas together. Exciting insights were also provided during the lab tour, which took place after the lunch break and offered exclusive insights behind the scenes at Fraunhofer IML.
Live music and food trucks enable relaxed networking
In addition to all the brainfood at the TRANSFER.FESTIVAL, the culinary and musical catering was of course not neglected! A relaxed get-together with food trucks and live music awaited the participants at lunchtime.
