The Centers of Excellence of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft are places where science, industry and society work together on solutions for the future – with the aim of translating research results into concrete innovations more quickly.

At the exchange meeting of the Centers of Excellence in Munich, the focus was precisely on this goal: learning from each other, discovering synergies and setting new impulses for joint work.

As representatives of the Center of Excellence Logistics and IT, Benedikt Mättig and Maik Hausmann, Fraunhofer IML, and Hendrik Haße, Fraunhofer ISST, had the opportunity to share experiences from applied research and successful transfer to industry and society – and at the same time to learn about many inspiring approaches from other High-Performance Centers.

The exchange once again showed how valuable this network is for Germany’s innovative strength – interdisciplinary, solution-oriented and with a clear view to the future.

We look forward to incorporating the impetus gained into our work and working with the other centers to further strengthen the bridge between research and application.
